LED technology is the ideal replacement for GU10 Halogen and Dichroic Spotlights. These spotlights both have a high energy usage, short life expectancy of around 2,000 hours and generate a lot of heat.
LED technology typically uses between 85 and 95% less energy than the originals, creates less heat and is available in a variety of colours and sizes. LEDs do not emit UV light so do not fade colours for example in window displays.
We always recommend professional quality LEDs that are branded and have both a minimum of 2 years warranty and a life expectancy of 30,000 hours.
Brands we commonly use are Philips, Loxa and Deltech, subject to the requirement of each installation and customer preference.
We recommend that an LED driver is installed when converting from MR16 Dichroic to LED as this will guarantee the best performance and life expectancy of the new lamp.
